The Students’ Council: Anti – Ragging
July 9 - 11, 2015
H. R. College aims at maintaining a healthy and congenial academic environment that shall be free from the menace of ragging and undertakes every measure for the safety of its students.
The Students’ Council of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics organized a campaign for enforcing H.R. College’s zero tolerance policy towards ragging for the tenth year. The senior students are mentors to juniors. Student Council volunteers were posted at the gates, canteen and on each floor, not only to guard against incidents of ragging, but also to act as guides to the freshers. Mobile phones were confiscated in case any student was found using them.
Besides patrolling inside the college, the Anti Ragging squad also patrolled all the way to Churchgate station and Marine Drive, to ensure that students were safe even outside the college premises.
With no cases of ragging being reported this year, the Anti Ragging campaign proved to be a success yet again.
