The Entrepreneurship & Incubation Cell

The Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell of H.R. College is a student body, certified by the Ministry of Education and Mahatma Gandhi Council of Rural Education, which aims to inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship in the minds of young students and create a zeal amongst the students who wish to pursue entrepreneurship as a career.

Vision: To create an environment conducive to the growth and development of the entrepreneurs and innovators of tomorrow. The E-Cell strongly believes that with correct guidance and support even the smallest of ideas can grow and lead to successful entrepreneurial ventures. The E-Cell aims to promote holistic learning to pave the way for a self-sufficient ecosystem that encourages the growth of new and innovative ideas.

Objectives of the Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell:

  • To create a complete ecosystem that will foster the culture of self-employment and innovation while providing training to the students.
  • To provide a platform for budding entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas and connect them with potential investors to build a successful start-up.
  • To conduct relevant seminars, workshops, and lectures with Alumni and subject experts to acquaint the students with strategies, insights, and knowledge required to become successful entrepreneurs.
  • To provide ample mentorship opportunities for the budding entrepreneurs of college.

WOMEN IN ACTION, A Panel Discussion on Women Entrepreneurship

The Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell of H.R. College, in collaboration with Prerith, hosted a panel discussion titled “Women in Action: Entrepreneurship in Leadership Roles.” The event featured distinguished speakers, including Dr. Pooja Ramchandani, Deepthi Ramachandran, Aashnee Gajaria, and Jyotsna Sanghi, with Ms. Sheetal Kalro moderating. They shared insights on the challenges women face in leadership and strategies for overcoming them, inspiring the 90 attendees. Special recognition was given to Viddhi Dalal for her support in organizing the event. The session concluded with a Q&A segment and a vote of thanks, celebrating the vital contributions of women leaders in driving innovation and change.

Walk In Pitch

The Walk In Pitch event, organized by the Entrepreneurship & Incubation Cell of H.R. College in collaboration with 100X.VC and supported by the Maharashtra State Innovation Society, offered a vital platform for startups seeking visibility and investment. Designed to catalyze startup growth, the event allowed participants to pitch directly to potential investors and industry leaders.

H.R. College students presented their innovative idea, PETPACE , a platform connecting dog walkers to dog owners while functioning as a quick-commerce application for delivering pet products within 20 minutes. The event provided startups with the chance to secure funding of up to ₹1.25 crore and facilitated valuable interactions with investors, industry experts, and fellow entrepreneurs.

Participants gained significant media and industry attention, enhancing their visibility and credibility. The session concluded with a Q&A segment and a formal vote of thanks, highlighting the event's success in fostering connections and opportunities for emerging businesses.

Entrepreneurship Promotion Program 2024-25

The Entrepreneurship Promotion Program commenced with speakers sharing their entrepreneurial journeys and insights on achieving success. The Ajcon Group presented a PowerPoint on maximizing Indian opportunities and the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. A highlight was the author of *Temple Economics*, who shared fascinating insights about the impact of temples on the Indian economy. He discussed the significance of various Devi Mandirs and their unique sarees, drawing from three years of research compiled into a comprehensive 1,500-page book. The session concluded with a Q&A segment, allowing attendees to engage with the speakers, followed by a formal vote of thanks. This program provided valuable perspectives on entrepreneurship and the unique intersections of culture and economy.
