B.Voc. Committee

Bachelor of Vocational Program is a committee of Tourism and Hospitality Management(THM), Retail Management(RM) and Wealth Management(WM) students. The B.Voc. Committee aims at breaking the monotony of book learning and inculcating practical learning. Industry professionals are invited to conduct guest lectures, seminars, and workshops to make the students ready for the corporate world. Additionally, the committee endeavors to equip the students with the skills and knowledge required to face the challenges and insights of the dynamic world. The club allows students to expand their thinking, interest, and scope.

Flour, Butter, Passion: Building a Career in Culinary and Pastry Arts

B.Voc. Committee of H.R. College, in collaboration with Zista Events and École Ducasse, hosted a masterclass titled "Flour, Butter, Passion: Building a Career in Culinary and Pastry Arts." Industry experts shared insights on career opportunities, current trends, and culinary techniques. Students engaged in panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking with successful alumni. Attendees praised the event, and suggestions were made to include practical workshops and demonstrations in future sessions. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A and a formal vote of thanks.

Visited Plex Connect - The Plastic Industry Expo

Attended by 11 committee members and 9 beneficiaries, the event showcased the latest advancements in the plastic industry, with a focus on sustainability and innovation. The visit provided valuable networking opportunities with industry experts and insights into environmentally friendly solutions and cutting-edge technologies. The visit was highly enriching, offering a deeper understanding of the industry and inspiring new ideas. We discovered products and solutions that could enhance our college’s branding and communication efforts. LINKEDIN WORKSHOP

The B.Voc. Committee hosted a successful LinkedIn workshop via Zoom, focusing on optimizing LinkedIn profiles and effective networking. The session, led by an expert, included a comprehensive presentation, interactive profile reviews, and personalized feedback. Attendees left with a better understanding of LinkedIn’s potential and greater confidence in their online professional presence. Positive feedback highlighted the value of practical advice and hands-on learning. Future event suggestions included advanced strategies and industry-specific tips. The workshop concluded with a Q&A session.

Guest Lecture on Corporate Gifting and Branding

HR College of Commerce and Economics hosted a seminar on Corporate Gifting and Branding, led by CA. Kush Sakaria, co-founder of Whiteshel. The half-day event covered the importance of personalized and experiential gifts, aligning gifts with brand values, and using technology in gifting. Key points included enhancing brand image through unique packaging and bespoke items, and forming strategic partnerships. The seminar ended with a Q&A session and a vote of thanks, providing attendees with valuable insights on using gifting to boost brand presence and business growth.

Global Hospitality Education Expo 2024

Ice Breaker 2024

The Ice Breaker Session 2024, held on August 10th at H.R. College and organized by BYI (B.Voc. Committee, Yuva Tourism Club, and Industrial Visit Committee), successfully united first-year, second-year, and third-year students in a fun and interactive environment. The event aimed to foster camaraderie and facilitate cross-year interactions.

The session began with a welcome and briefing, followed by a series of engaging games such as “Fish Pond,” “Guess the Dialogue,” and “Picture Charades.” These activities encouraged team-building and interaction, with students actively participating and enjoying the challenges. Overall, the event was lively and successful in helping students connect and build relationships.

MONEY EXPO 2024

The Money Expo 2024, held on August 17th and 18th at the Jio World Convention Centre, showcased the latest in fintech. Highlights included keynote speeches, panel discussions on blockchain, AI, and cryptocurrency, and insights into cryptocurrency’s role in finance. The expo effectively educated and connected attendees, providing valuable networking opportunities and shaping the future of finance.

Yatra La Vista 2.0

Yatra La Vista 2.0, a festival organized by Ruia College, recently provided B.Voc students with a range of engaging events. The festival included a tourism-based quiz, a best-out-of-waste souvenir-making contest, a travel storytelling event, and a tourism product selling competition. Our college students participated actively, demonstrating their talents and creativity.

The event aimed to enhance academic experiences, facilitate networking, and explore students' interests. Highlights included enthusiastic quiz participation, creative souvenir designs, entrepreneurial pitches, and storytelling sessions. The festival was a success, culminating in our college winning the “Best College” trophy.
