BAMMC Committee is a student body catering to the needs of Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication (B.A.M.M.C.) students as well as facilitating the faculties.
We help create opportunities and give a platform to new talent. We also help set up guest lectures from industry experts and career opportunities for B.M.M. students exclusively.

Midday Newspaper
Jheel Jain, a 19-year-old second-year BAMMC student at HR College, was recently featured in the Midday newspaper for a creative project where she and her friends painted umbrellas at Marine Drive. Her passion for art and photography drove this project, and when their video went viral on Instagram, Midday took notice. This artistic endeavor, set against the backdrop of recent rains, showcased their unique perspectives and teamwork. Being featured in Midday is a remarkable achievement and highlights their dedication to art.
In addition to her studies, Jheel is a freelancer and influencer. She has also won various college events such as Ellenium, Blitzkrieg, Enigma, and Polaris. Known for her creativity and enthusiasm, Jheel exemplifies innovation. HR College is proud to nurture such talented students, providing an environment where they can excel.

Interactive Acting Session
August 6, 2024 Attendees: 111
The BAMMC Committee hosted Mr. Mohit Sharma, founder of Ambal Productions, for an acting seminar. Mr. Sharma shared insights from his work in theatre, film festivals, and stand-up comedy. A key highlight was a silent play exercise where students showcased non-verbal acting skills. The event ended with a Q&A session, providing attendees direct interaction with Mr. Sharma. It was a successful seminar that inspired and educated participants about the acting industry.

'Celebrate Cinema' was an event organized by Whistling Woods International in Film City, Goregaon, featuring the participation of students from the BAMMC Committee of H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. The event offered a wide range of workshops covering key aspects of filmmaking, storytelling, and content creation. Students gained hands-on experience in acting, screenwriting, VFX, and sustainable filmmaking, which complemented their academic objectives..
The workshops encouraged creativity, collaboration, and deepened students' understanding of the filmmaking process. This valuable experience not only enhanced their learning but also inspired them to pursue their aspirations in the media and entertainment industry with renewed enthusiasm. The BAMMC Committee looks forward to participating in similar events that offer such valuable exposure and growth opportunities.
DETOUR
Media Fest of Jai Hind College
Dates: 14th & 15th of January 2025
Venue: Jai Hind College
We are pleased to announce the participation of the BAMMC Committee from HR College in DETOUR, the Media Fest organised by Jai Hind College. We extend our sincere congratulations to our winners for their remarkable accomplishments. We had participated in all the 22 events as full contingent and secured 1st podium overall. We won the athletics pre event. We came 1st in band, drama, stand up, ad making and quiz. We secured 2nd position in improv, meme making and voice acting. Lastly, secured 3rd position in short film, debate/MUN, music video making, story writing and newspaper making.
These achievements underscore the exceptional skills and commitment of our members. We take immense pride in their success and anticipate many more such victories in the future.

CANON SEMINAR
August 19, 2023 Attendees- 40
The BAMMC Committee of H.R College of Commerce & Economics organized a seminar with Canon Camera company conducted by 3 Canon executives: Ms. Priyanka Chavan, Mr. Mohsin Shaikh, and Mr. Aashman Kapoor.
The objective of the seminar was to educate students about the art of photography. The speakers discussed the theory of photography and visual art. It was later followed by a hands-on experience with Canon cameras. Students got to know how Canon cameras works and received an in-depth view of the fundamentals of photography. Attendees enjoyed a balanced experience of theoretical and practical sessions with Canon. Attendees were also provided participation certificates by the committee at the end of the seminar.
INTERCOLLEGIATE WIN: POLARIS

The BAMMC Committee of H.R College of Commerce & Economics participated in Polaris, an intercollegiate mass media festival organized by Wilson College.
The committee bagged three prizes in the following events:
- First Prize in Dance
- First Prize in Comedy
- Second Prize in Fashion Show
Along with these prizes, a performer from the contingent bagged the best male dancer award. The scholarships for dance workshops were also awarded to the winners of the dance event.
ANOKHA BANDHAN

The BAMMC Committee of H.R College of Commerce & Economics organized a visit to the “Little Angels” orphanage on August 30, 2023 to celebrate Raksha Bandhan festival with the orphans.
This event was organised to provide a token of happiness for the little ones. The committee members tied rakhis and distributed chocolates to the children. The committee spent time with them dancing, playing different games, and having fun. Rakhis were also tied to the caretakers of the orphanage. The children were extremely happy and wanted the committee to visit them soon. This social initiative was a huge success as the committee spent some meaningful time with the children and helped spread joy on the day of Raksha Bandhan.
INTERCOLLEGIATE WIN: HSNC SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

The BAMMC Committee of H.R College of Commerce & Economics participated and bagged the 1st Runners Up prize in the 1st ever HSNC Short Film Festival organized by R.D National College on the occasion of 75 years of academic excellence on the theme Skill Development Initiatives’. The festival witnessed large scale participation from Board colleges and students had to make a 5-minute short film with a split screen. The festival was organized to create awareness about important and contemporary issues and to showcase various skills which would benefit marginalized and needy groups.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO FILMS DIVISION

The BAMMC Committee of H.R College of Commerce & Economics organized an industrial visit to the Films Division of India in Mumbai which also includes the National Museum of Indian Cinema. Students were taken through the details related to direction. They were taught about the director's perspective on certain films, problems that generally occur during shooting and were shown clips of certain movies for better understanding. A workshop was conducted and students volunteered to showcase their acting skills. Later they received the museum tour. The visit helped students learn a lot about the film industry and cinematography.
WEBINAR ON TRANSLATION SKILLS

The BAMMC Committee of H.R College of Commerce and Economics organized a webinar on Translation skills. The webinar date was November 30, 2023. We had Dr. Dinesh Kumar Nair as the speaker for this webinar.
The webinar helped the students to learn translation and its types. It encouraged them to learn and embrace the different languages and translations of the languages. They understood the importance of the variety of languages and how anything can be lost in translation or empowered through translation.
The webinar was for 1 hour and 30 minutes. E-certificates will also be provided to the attendees. 64 students from the BAMMC course attended this webinar including first-year, second-year, and third year.
The BAMMC Committee of H.R College of Commerce and Economics organized Bollywood Day 2.0. The event date was January 9, 2024. It had a total of 3 competitions which were pageant, mono-acting, and cinematography & editing events. The event was organized to help the students learn various facets of media and film. It encouraged them to participate in events and showcase their talent as well as skills. It also helped them understand the cinema and Bollywood.

POWER OF PR COMMUNICATION

A guest lecture on ‘Power of PR Communication’ was organised for the S.Y.BAMMC students. Mr. Aaron Dias of Adfactors PR talked to about how the PR industry works. Mr. Aaron Dias with his 6 years of experience in PR and being India’s ‘ONLY’ 18 PRCAI certified professionals to be awarded as the 'Indian Television PR & Communication Aces’ award in 2021 impressed the students with his in-depth knowledge, industry experience and anecdotes about PR in corporate circles.
BAMMC MEDIA PLANNING

BAMMC committee of H.R. College organised a guest lecture on media planning. Award winning media strategist Mr. Pratik Singh spoke to the students and provided an insight into how media positioning and branding works. Mr. Singh informed them about ad campaigns and how successful campaigns are made and positioned. This engaging and interactive session ended with a Q/A and a vote of thanks.

The B.A.M.M.C. Committee of H.R. College of Commerce and Economics organised an Industrial Visit to Himachal Pradesh. The trip offered multiple learning opportunities. This industrial visit gave students an opportunity to visit industries, interact with people, tour heritage sites and experience the richness of our cultural traditions. Overall, it was an exhilarating and enriching experience.

H.R. College BAMMC Committee participated in 6 events out of 7 and made it to the finals in 5 events and secured a win in the Flagship event Armageddon. The college won the Runner Up Trophy as well as the best CL Trophy.

HOW TO MAKE A BRAND, “BRAND”!
September 2, 2021An informative and interactive seminar by Mr. Utkarsh Gupta, CEO of DaurCom, covered all the aspects of Branding. He spoke about how students and budding entrepreneurs can make use of the social media platform Instagram to start, grow and promote their brands. He also provided the students with paid internships in his startup company DaurCom.

Our very first film-screening event called 'Reality to Films' commenced with an Oscar-winning short film 'Two Distant Strangers', which was followed by a discussion with our chief guest Mr. Rishi Deshpande. October 27, 2021DANCE MORE was a dance competition exclusively for HR College students, the event called for all dancers to show their best moves & leave the judge stunned as they take the center stage under the Dane More spotlight. This event had two rounds namely, the Nomination round and the final round. 8 Participants qualified for the final round which happened live on Zoom. The final judgment was done by Preeti Singh, Founder of Vita Fitness, Bhopal.
