The BMS Committee of HR College is a student body exclusively comprising of the college's BMS students. It aims to push the boundaries of events with creativity and meaningful objective, with a goal to inculcate managerial skills in students and establish a legacy of leading. The committee organises guest lectures, certificate courses and industrial visits, as well as a national level inter-collegiate event named 'Mystique' where several cultural competitions are organised.
Industry experts and alumni of the college's prestigious BMS course will be invited to hold lectures and guide students on their future careers, paving way for bright careers for the students.

3 Day Industrial Visit to Daman Silvassa

The BMS Committee of HR College organized a 3-day industrial visit to Daman and Silvassa for 50 students, where they toured the Millenium Marble Factory and the Parle G Factory. At the Marble Factory, students learned about the entire marble production process, from quarrying to quality control. At the Parle G Factory, they observed the automated biscuit production line, including mixing, baking, packaging, and stringent quality measures. The visit offered valuable industry exposure, insights into manufacturing challenges and innovations, and opportunities for networking, effectively bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world practices.

With expertise in areas such as budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management, the coach was well-equipped to guide students towards financial independence.
The seminar was structured into several sections, each focusing on a crucial aspect of personal finance. The coach began by emphasizing the importance of setting financial goals, creating budgets, and tracking expenses. Throughout the session, Mr. Dara shared invaluable insights on various topics such as the different stages and types of a startup, government policies, etc. The speaker also focused and guided the student on plans, schemes, and government funds that can support young and aspiring entrepreneurs in their startup journey. This structured and informative session concluded with an interactive Q&A with Mr. Dara.

The BMS Committee of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics attended a panel discussion pertaining to the topic ‘Hacking the Gen Z Code’. The event was an offline event organized in collaboration by ASC (The Advertising Standards Council of India), Social Samosa, and WRM (White River Media).
The enlightening and informative panel discussion exclusively focused on market segmentation and on exploring new marketing strategies for targeting and catering to Generation Z. The panel discussion was attended by six highly renowned speakers with abundant knowledge in the field. The speakers shared several examples of how their brands successfully adapted to this demographic and also engaged in an interactive session with participants. Over 60 students from different colleges attended the panel discussion.
SOCIAL INITIATIVE - AYESHA

The BMS Committee of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics undertook Ayesha - a social initiative that fosters responsibility and a commitment to building a better society. Ayesha focuses on the well-being and upliftment of the underprivileged.
Through Ayesha, the volunteers of the BMS Committee donated food and hygiene articles to villagers on August 13, 2023. The volunteers also visited St. Catherine of Siena school and orphanage on August 25, 2023 and spent the day with the children. They provided recreational support, nutrition and hygiene awareness, and fostered community engagement. ‘Ayesha’, helped the volunteers make a lasting difference in the lives of those who need it the most. All volunteers were grateful for this opportunity.

Mystique - the official intercollegiate cultural festival, jointly organized by the BMS Committee and the Cultural Committee of H.R. College of Commerce and Economics recently organized a dance workshop in collaboration with the very talented dancer Shehzaan Khan.
The event commenced with electrifying energy and cheers from the audience, this was followed by Mr. Khan displaying a power-packed performance along with his team. Mr. Khan and his team engaged with all the participants to maximize their learning experience.
This phenomenal event was attended in large numbers by the students. Mr. Khan guided and motivated all the participants time and again, making it a truly joyous event. This workshop inspired many to follow their passion for dance.

The BMS Committee organized a Value-Added Certificate Course that covered essential topics such as resume building, public speaking, and basics of information technology, among others. The course aimed to provide holistic development to students and featured notable industry experts as guest speakers. The Value-Added Certificate Course concluded with a Master Session on Leadership delivered by the esteemed Principal, Prof. Dr. Pooja Ramchandani. The course was well-received, with an average daily attendance of 285 students. Overall, the BMS Committee can be proud of its efforts in creating a positive impact on the students' lives.

October 1-3, 2022
The BMS Committee of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics hosted the debut edition of ‘Iris’, a 3-day intracollegiate fest. Over 16 clubs competed for the coveted title of the first Iris champion.
Iris kicked off with ‘Disc and Dash’, an adrenaline pumping frisbee event, keeping the audience at the edge of their seats. ‘Merging Angles’ saw budding artists create magic on the canvas, channelling their creativity. The last event for the day, ‘Rocket Singh’, was a marketing event which required the entrants to channel their inner salesman and persuade passers-by on the streets to buy their product.
The second day had an intense debate event ‘Agree to Disagree’ where contestants zealously put forth their points with sharp arguments. Diverse topics ranging from Instagram reels to LGBTQ+ were discussed and debated upon. The day ended with participants putting on their Sherlock hats for flagship event ‘Kuch Toh Gadbad Hain’. It was an intriguing murder mystery where the detectives were tasked with unmasking the perpetrator.
The third and the final day began with the drama event ‘Bombay Talkies’ where participants showcased their acting prowess with enthralling plays.
The performances were evaluated by celebrity judges Shishir Sharma (Uri: The Surgical Strike, Raazi), Taher Shabbir (Nisha Aur Uske Cousins, Naam Shabana) and Shaan Grover (ALTBalaji Series ‘Boys Locker Room’).
It was followed by our final event ‘Stepping Stones’, featuring power packed dance performances by the contingents. The auditorium resounded with the chants of clubs and cheers for the winners.
The first edition of Iris ended with camaraderie, laughter and a million memories to cherish. The BMS Committee looks forward to hosting you again next year!

The BMS Programme of H.R. College hosted the 3rd edition of Mystique, held over 4 days. Students from 18 participating colleges flocked to the college premises and KSA grounds to compete for the coveted Mystique crown.
Big names like Dalip Tahil Pawan Chopra, Darsheel Safary and Hrishikesh Pandey were among the important judges and major guests at Mystique'23. Judges for dance, rap, debate, and fashion show events included Anahita Karanjia, Shetty Saa, Akashlina Chandra, Hormuz Ragina, and Neeraj Yadav.
With a huge footfall of over 4000 people and 100+ sponsors, Mystique’23 made history as H.R’s grandest fest till date. The third edition of Mystique ended on a high note, with everyone’s minds and camera rolls packed with good memories.

1st Edition - June 29, 2021A panel discussion with the former leaders of prominent fests and clubs gave a glimpse of their illustrious leadership journey. The panelists included Hitesh Singh, Kunal Ruparel, Vedant Gudka, Harsh Modi, and Harshit Gupta. They shed light on the challenges and sacrifices they have made. They emphasized how they built strong friendships over a few years.
ABOUT THE PANELISTS:
Mr. Hitesh Singh was the General Secretary of the Students Council of HR College for the academic year 2019-2020. Hitesh is an all-rounder and represented the college in 50+ events.
Mr. Kunal Ruparel has been the Student Coordinator for The Honours Admission of 2019-20. He has also been the Chairperson for the Talent Parade and the President of the Sports Council.
Mr. Vedant Gudka was a part of the Rotaract Club of H.R. College for 5 years. He was also the General body member, Professional Development Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Director, Treasurer, Human Resource Development Director, and President.
Mr. Harsh Modi was the chairperson for Blaze (the 10th edition of ICHR) and President of the Investment Club of H.R College.
Mr. Harshit Gupta was the former Events Director of ICHR and the Chairperson of Mystique- 2021, the first intercollegiate BMS fest.

The webinar kick-started with our talented line-up of panelists reminiscing about the beginning of their social media journey and how they turned their small endeavour into a venture with thousands of followers. The panel speakers engaged the audience with many anecdotes and memories they have
had through their social media journey. Our influencers also led us into their secrets, tricks, and experiences to unleash our creative potential. Various aspects of the influencer business such as social media marketing, social media management, influencer management, monetization of content, brand endorsements, etc. were discussed in detail.

He elaborated that being an entrepreneur means taking the right decision at the right time to make the business soar. Finding the negatives or cons in the business is essential to ensure a smooth and flawless venture. In addition, identification of the problem is followed by its eradication. Mr. Gupta emphasized patience, dedication, and balance as the crown jewels of any successful entrepreneur. They all must go hand-in-hand to give returns that are helpful to the business as well as the society.

October 16, 2021In this session, Mr. Shastri elaborated on how his journey began, growing up with people who inspired him to pursue spirituality. He shed light on the benefits of both spirituality as well as marketing. He further elaborated on the world of judgments and how the root cause of it is usually personal vendetta arising out of expectations. He advises the students not to stay idle, as this is the time and space to evolve oneself.
AYESHA - A SOCIAL INITIATIVE
April 18-21, 2022The students of H.R. College’s B.M.S. program organised a multi-dimensional collection drive called AYESHA to serve the vulnerable and underprivileged section of society. They started by collecting various forms of donations such as toys, clothes, stationery, blankets, and pillows, along with monetary donations within the college campus. The collection drive collected over Rs. 55,000/- via monetary donations and various other items in kind.
The proceeds from the monetary donations were used to serve food to more than 250 people at the TATA Memorial Hospital for Cancer Patients and KEM Hospital, as well as to buy 300 kilos of food grains for labourers in Naigaon who do not have regular access to food. In addition to this, clothes were also gifted to the residents of All Saints Home, Mazgaon, and of Shanti Daan, Borivali. Students spent time with the residents of All Saints Home and performed various interactive activities as well. The residual income from the amount collected will be donated to the education fund for underprivileged children to support their education.
The mission was to ensure that everyone, especially those from the lower-income communities, have access to food and education.
