Finnacle started this year with the inception of our Infobond groups that has a monumental membership of 1200+ students currently. Since the past 7 months, we have been sharing enriching information about finance and investing along with carefully curated headlines and news reports on these groups every single day.
Finnacle published 10+ issues this year. The researchers, writers, editors and IT team worked relentlessly to curate issues at par with the leading financial magazines of today. Each issue had insightful articles about diverse topics. The issues tried to break down and simplify complex topics so that magazine readers could easily understand technical terms and financial jargon. Through the scrupulously designed issues aiming to make finance fun.
Finnacle’s Instagram account gained 1400% growth in followers. Posting infotainment content on Instagram page that entertained as well as educated its audience. Finnacle launched its LinkedIn page to interact with a wider audience.
With 10+ Industry connects where experts from various fields shared their knowledge and insights on diverse topics like finance, technology and the future of the world in general. These industry connects aimed to help students understand what they want from their career and harness growth opportunities in various fields in the future.
Apart from this, Finnacle also held educational webinars where established leaders gave their view on the financial world. Mr. Karthik Rangappa from Zerodha was one of the leaders invited to inspire the students to pursue financial independence and take up early investing. Mr. Shashank Udupa, COO Avalon Meta, conducted an insightful webinar on financial markets and the importance of research in stock selection. Ms. Pooja Punjabi an ace counselling psychologist conducted an enriching webinar that enlightened participants about the importance of emotional intelligence.

FINANCIAL MODELLING WEBINAR

The Finnacle Magazine of H.R College organized an engaging and practical session on financial modelling with Mr. Nived Chavan. The session provided brilliant insights related to financial modelling and investment banking. The importance of financial modelling and its usefulness in business decisions was discussed.
Students were taught to create practical Excel financial models, forecast returns, and were informed about how investment banking analysts use it in their jobs. Mr. Chavan engaged in meaningful discussions regarding students' career prospects and the ways to establish professional credibility. The event concluded with a Q&A and a formal vote of thanks.

Key concepts and insights in the financial market landscape were discussed and career options in each finance vertical were explored under the guidance of the speaker.
The speaker particularly explained the Stock Broking Ecosystem, Wealth Management, Banking, Asset Management and Insurance and Investment Banking- explaining its functioning and job profiles related to it. Alternative Investments such as Private Equity, Venture Capital, Stress Asset Funds, Hedge funds and its benefits and uses were also part of the discussion.

The speaker shared reasons and strategies for a finance career. He explained the merits and demerits of the CFA programme, the future opportunities of the programme and the major employers. The Finnacle Magazine of H.R College organized an engaging and practical session on Options Trading with Mr. Kunal Shah. The session provided brilliant insights related to Options Trading. The importance of Options Trading and the various techniques of trading in options was discussed. Students were taught in detail about call and put options and the different types of call and put options and also taught about premiums which are paid while trading in options. Mr. Shah engaged in meaningful discussions regarding margin requirements in options trading and students' career prospects to establish professional credibility. Mr. Shah effectively addressed students' queries, from career questions to the future outlook for the Futures and Options Markets.

Finnacle Magazine of H.R. College of Commerce & Economics in collaboration with Zell Education conducted a workshop to develop skills essential for the 4th Industrial Revolution. The interactive event focused on introspection and reflection on core leadership values and the development of a growth-oriented mindset.
It was followed by a session on case based analytical training which explored prevalent topics and acquainted students with the current market scenario. The workshop incorporated aspects of delivery, structure and storytelling in public speaking. It was an opportunity for students to learn, explore and discover.

GETTING STARTED WITH WEB 3.0
January 16, 2022The Finnacle Magazine organized a webinar on 'Getting Started with Web 3.0' with eminent speaker Mr. Anshul Rustaggi. He is an alumnus of IIT Delhi and IIM Bangalore. He is the founder of the next-gen IT company, Totality Corp.
He shed light on the intriguing topic of Cryptocurrencies and the revolutionary Blockchain technology and also enlightened listeners about NFTs and how they are lucrative investment avenues with a much wider scope. He spoke about the creation of a vast interconnected Metaverse where interactions will take place in the future. Lastly, he spoke about how Augmented Reality will be the next big thing.
HOW TO CRACK YOUR ENTRANCE EXAMS
January 22, 2022The Finnacle Magazine organized a webinar on 'How to Crack your Entrance Exams' with Mr. Aakash Pednekar. He is the co-founder of Pracer, a startup that helps students in dealing with the pressure that comes with exams.
The webinar started with Mr. Pednekar providing our keen audience with a success mantra on how to crack any professional exam. Next, he helped them understand how they can prevent themselves from getting distracted by social media and work on their concentration skills. He demonstrated how to allocate hours for studying, practice and revision to get one's desired score. He explained to the students how to deal with issues like exam stress and anxiety. Lastly, he enlightened students on how to choose the right course post-graduation.
THE BUDGET ROUNDTABLE
February 3, 2022The Finnacle Magazine organized a panel discussion on the Budget. The panel consisted of experts like CA Vyomesh Pathak, Associate Director at BSR & Co; CA Jimit Makhwana, Founder of Possible Classes and CA Tejas Shah, who is a CA, CMA, CS & LLB degree holder.
Ms. Kareena Parekh, the President and Editor-in-Chief of Finnacle moderated the discussion effectively.
The panelists started by sharing their insights on the introduction of a digital currency by RBI and the regulations imposed on digital assets. The panelists elaborated on how and why the various announcements made in the budget had a positive impact on the stock markets. The panelists shed light on how various sectors like Infrastructure, Agriculture, Healthcare, Education, and Defense found a place in this year's budget. All the speakers agreed that the target of becoming a 5 trillion dollar economy is an ambitious one and can be achieved in the future. The speakers opined that the recent budgets have been growth-oriented and have extensively focused on development. All the panelists gave the budget big thumbs up. The webinar concluded with the audience being grateful for the enriching takeaways from the session and the wonderful insights shared.
THE FUNDAMENTALS OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND POWER NETWORKING
February 12, 2022Finnacle organized a webinar on the topic 'The Fundamentals of Skill Development and Power Networking' with the notable speaker Mr. Puneet Raman. He is the founder and director of Prowisdom Growth Pvt Ltd, a hybrid E-Learning platform that helps connect students and young employees to accomplished global mentors.
The webinar started with Mr. Raman talking about his own college life and how the drive to constantly upgrade himself always gave him an edge over his peers. Next, he notified our listeners that due to ever-evolving technology, we have more accessible options to up-skilling ourselves every 3-4 years. He emphasized the value of work experience and how that helps an individual grow professionally and individually. He also shed light on the topic of maintaining good relationships with your peers and seniors. Building trust and taking initiative leave an exemplary impression at the workplace. Lastly, he spoke about India having better employment rates in the future being a service-oriented country.

February 19, 2022Finnacle organized a webinar on the topic 'New Age Entrepreneurship and Technology' with eminent entrepreneur, Mr. Sam Baisla. He is a revolutionary industry expert who has developed and scaled new-age businesses and has created a profound impact by funding radical ideas so that entrepreneurs can turn their passion into a successful career.
The webinar commenced with Mr. Sam Baisla talking about his journey of being an entrepreneur. He gave examples of Shark Tank and other reality shows about how they are giving the youth a big platform to showcase their talent. Next, he explained to the audience how the world is evolving and how entrepreneurship helps solve problems and makes a larger social impact. He emphasized the value of talent that one possesses. March 15, 2022In honour of Women's Month, The Finnacle Magazine organized a webinar series with key voices in the field of business, finance, and technology! The first webinar in our three-part series: Women & Finance (Personal Finance) was held with Ms. Sakshi Khandelwal. She is an accomplished Chartered Accountant and Co-Founder at an ed-tech startup, Pracer.
To begin with, Ms. Khandelwal conveyed the significance of financial objectives and how students can save and invest money. She discussed personal finance and its requirements, as well as how students should choose their short and long-term financial goals. She emphasized one simple concept: it is not about how much money you make, but how much money you save. She then highlighted how saving is easier when you have a plan: record your expenses, included saving in your budget, find ways to cut spending, set savings goals, determine your financial priorities, pick the right tools to track your budget, make savings automatic and finally, watch your investments grow.

March 19, 2022The Finnacle Magazine organized a webinar on “Sensory Marketing” with our notable alumni Mr. Krish Velkar. He has a bachelor's degree from H.R College of Commerce and Economics and has completed his master's in marketing from the University of Bath and Kings College London. He is a Senior Planner/ Brand Strategist at Ogilvy and a visiting Faculty at Lala Rajpatrai Institute of Management.
The webinar started with Mr. Velkar introducing sensory marketing. He explained how brands and companies use the basic human senses to make the customers more emotionally engaged with the objective of increasing sales. For instance, how colours are used by a brand to influence our emotions: Red for danger, romance, and action. The session was made engaging by getting the audience to participate in various activities and experiments to better understand the concepts. He elucidated how every sense plays a crucial role in luring the customers in and enhancing the overall experience.
WOMEN & BUSINESS: IMPORTANCE OF DIGITAL BRANDING
March 22, 2022The Finnacle Magazine organized a webinar on the 'Importance of Digital Branding' with CA Shraddha Dedhia. She is the co-founder of Knowledge Garage and an Associate Director at the Alchemy group.
Firstly, Mrs. Shraddha introduced the audience to different digital branding platforms like Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, and Quora. She explained the concept of digital branding, its significance in today's world, and ways in which brands should adopt and embrace good digital branding practices. In a connected world with many online touch points such as websites, apps, search engine results, online reviews, and social media discussions, most decisions are made after experiencing your brand in the digital space.
Lastly, she emphasized that if you are an individual looking to profit from your expertise or an organization looking to convert your audience, digital branding must be prioritized. March 26, 2022The Finnacle Magazine organized a webinar on 'Journey of an Ace Investor and his Top 5 Investing Habits' with eminent speaker Mr. Faiz Memon. He is the founder of Fidelis Wealth Management Private Limited. He is also a director with Staple Commodity Traders, Hosagiri Human Resources, and Kaifak Medicare.
The session started with Mr. Faiz sharing his own story about studying in America and the challenges he faced while working towards his degree in Philosophy. He joined a brokerage company after graduation to gain valuable experience. He shared his learnings from the 2008 financial crisis explaining how investors tend to get swayed by their emotions and make mistakes. He encouraged students to take on high-risk investments and try to maximize their returns. He touched on other important aspects of an ace investor's journey including lump sum vs diversified investing and compounding using positive habits among others.
