MATH CLUB

The Math Club is an umbrella organization for mathematics-related activities open to all students. A community of people who love Math, an environment where one experiences the joy of playing with numbers. The Club organizes events which not only help to develop the aptitude of the students for Math but also decrease their fear of numbers and symbols. It helps students to explore themselves, do a reconnaissance of who they are and allows them to learn and grow.

X EPSILON MATHEMATRIX FEST

August 9 & 10, 2024

The Math Club of H.R. College, in collaboration with the Epsilon Club, proudly participated in the prestigious Mathematrix event organized by Poddar College. A team of 20 talented participants represented our college, showcasing their mathematical prowess across a variety of events.

The team demonstrated exceptional skills in diverse categories, including Mathematical Fine Arts and Mathematical Quizzes. Their innovative ideas and teamwork resulted in numerous prize wins, highlighting their dedication and knowledge in the field of mathematics.

The participation in Mathematrix not only boosted the confidence of our team but also reinforced the club's commitment to promoting mathematical excellence.

Math Mystery Maze: Advancing Analytical Skills through Competitive Engagement

The Math Club of HR College successfully conducted the Math Mystery Maze, marking a significant event aimed at enhancing mathematical skills and promoting a spirit of healthy competition among students. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from various colleges, making it a notable intercollegiate engagement.

The programme commenced in the morning with the registration process, where teams arrived and signed up for the competition.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where the top three teams were declared winners. Their achievements were celebrated with certificates and tokens of appreciation, acknowledging their excellence.

MATH-O-MANIA

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, the Math Club of H.R. College organized an engaging event, Math-O-Mania. The event combined creativity and intellect through two exciting competitions: Meme Making and a Math Quiz.

The program commenced with a heartfelt introduction to Srinivasa Ramanujan, highlighting his monumental contributions to mathematics and his enduring legacy as an inspiration for generations.

The Math Quiz, a thrilling test of knowledge and quick thinking, comprised questions spanning various topics in mathematics.

Math-O-Mania witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with students actively participating and enjoying the amalgamation of fun and learning. The event celebrated the beauty and versatility of mathematics, emphasizing how it can be both intellectually stimulating and creatively inspiring.

The event concluded with the announcement of winners and a vote of thanks, leaving everyone inspired to carry forward Ramanujan's legacy of passion for mathematics.

Number Ninjas

January 30, 2025         Attendees: 30

The Math Club of HR College successfully hosted Number Ninjas 2025 on January 30th, a dynamic mathematical competition that attracted participants from various colleges. The event, held from 11 am to 3 pm, featured multiple rounds designed to test participants’ numerical agility and problem-solving skills. The competition began with an elimination round, followed by a challenging puzzle and riddle round, and concluded with the intense Ultimate Number Ninja Showdown. KJ Somaiya College received the Maximum Participation Award, and Advait Bandekar from KJ Somaiya College was crowned Number Ninja 2025 after demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills. Rahil Mehta and Manav Madia from HR College were the runners-up. Dr. Pooja Ramchandani, the principal, felicitated the winners, and the event was deemed a great success, fostering learning, teamwork, and enthusiasm among participants
