Under the aegis of the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board, H.R. College renamed its Sindhi Club Sindhi Sangat to promote and preserve the unique Sindhi heritage, culture, and language. From organizing Chaliya, Cheti Chand melas to participating in intercollegiate events and Sindhi programs Sindhi Sangat has grown by leaps and bounds.
The Club members have proved that they are proud of their Sindhi roots and heritage. This year the Club won many accolades at intercollegiate events and brought home trophies. In the current year the Club Members also assisted College during admissions, IT work, and sorting of forms in the college office and have worked with Old age Homes and NGOs.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

The Sindhi Society participated in the celebration of the 76th Independence Day, at HSNC University, Worli. The event commenced with flag hoisting by Hon. Vice Chancellor of HSNC University Dr. Hemlata Bagla and was followed by Sindhi Society’s dance performance, depicting the partition of Sindh. The zeal and enthusiasm of the performers fascinated all present and drew particular praise from former President of the HSNC Board, Mr. Kishu Mansukhani, Vice Chancellor of HSNC University, Dr. Hemlata Bagla and H.R. College Principal, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A SEMINAR

Sindhi Society organized a seminar on Entrepreneurship. The speaker was Ms. Dhairya Gangwani, an ECE engineer, now a Management Consultant. She is now a fulltime Career Coach & Content Creator, having delivered over 500 talks across the globe in just a 2-year span. With her initiative Dhairya Decodes, she has impacted over 5000 working professionals and students. A Q&A session followed the seminar. A vote of thanks was given by a core member from the club.

The Sindhi Society performed at Talent Parade - H.R. College’s biggest intra-collegiate event. It was Sindhi Society’s first time in talent parade yet they made a mark by bagging the first podium in the dance competition.

H.R. College of Commerce and Economics hosted the second edition of Shaan, a four-day Sindhi intercollegiate cultural festival, from November 21st to 24th, 2023. The event attracted students from over eight colleges who competed for the top prize and featured various events, including a drawing competition, traditional Indian sport, quiz event, cricket tournament, business and marketing event, and a treasure hunt. The festival also included captivating performances by participating colleges. The event was attended by renowned Sindhi personalities and members of the Maharashtra Sindhi Sahitya Academy, and a panel of distinguished judges evaluated the performances. Shaan'23 established itself as the grandest Sindhi intercollegiate festival in Mumbai to date.

Sindhi Society of H.R. College participated in “Hojamalo”- A Sindhi Inter-Collegiate Fest hosted by Jai Hind College. 25+ Colleges participated out of which H.R. College bagged the Overall 2nd Prize proving our love, respect, and knowledge of our culture.
The fest had 15+ events such as Dance, Fashion Show, Quiz, DJ Battle, Sports, etc. It was a moment of pride for our President Jayesh Jaisinghani to be felicitated by Principal Dr. Pooja Ramchandani for bringing this prestigious Trophy home.

The Sindhi Society of HR College achieved an impressive feat by participating in the Treasure Hunt organized by Kishinchand Chellaram Law College on February 28th. Their performance was exceptional, leading them to secure the esteemed position of First Runner Up in the competition. This accomplishment speaks volumes about the Society's ability to strategize, navigate challenges, and demonstrate teamwork effectively. Treasure hunts often require quick thinking, problem-solving skills, and collaboration. Their achievement is undoubtedly a source of pride for both the Society and HR College, reflecting their commitment to excellence and their capacity to excel in diverse competitions beyond their own college.

The Sindhi Society of H.R. College achieved a remarkable feat at an intra-collegiate event named "Bazaar 2024". This event was organized by the General Event Management Society, to provide a platform to showcase their business acumen and creativity. The Sindhi Society excelled in two key areas - business strategy and attracting the most visitors. Our well-planned strategy likely involved aspects like product selection, pricing, and marketing. The efforts to attract visitors proved successful, resulting in maximum footfall at their stall/booth. In recognition of our achievements, the Sindhi Society was presented with two awards - Best Business Strategy and Maximum Footfall. This recognition highlights their well-rounded performance at the Bazaar 2024 event.

Sindhi Sangat of H.R. College visited the Pujya Chaliya Sahib Mandir. The dedication, energy and enthusiasm of the devotees can be witnessed at the temple. Lord Jhulelal is praised songs, dances and chanting of hymns. The Club with the support of the college also arranged for a live session where everyone joined to pray and seek the blessings of Lord Jhulelal.
JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

Sindhi Sangat celebrated Janmashtami with great joy and pomp. The event started with Krishna Aarti followed by Ganesh Vandana. Students performed songs, dances and skits and ended the session with celebration of dahi-handi.
Principal Dr. Pooja Ramchandani motivated and appreciated the organisers and encouraged the participants to immerse themselves in the celebrations.

JANMASHTMI & INDUCTION
August 23, 2019Sindhi Sangat of H.R. College celebrated Janmashtami in H.R. College with enthusiasm. The event consisted of many performances depicting Sindhi culture and Janmashtami celebrations to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna. A skit performed gave the message to “respect your mothers”, in an emotional manner. Students actively participated in singing devotional songs.
During this event Club In-charge Dr. Pooja Ramchandani and Ms. Laju Sharma inducted President Jash Tekwani & Vice President Gaurav Aswani and the core committee members of Sindhi Sangat.
The event concluded with breaking a 'matki' followed by aarti, palav and prasad. Everyone attending the function was happy to see young Sindhi students working so hard with complete dedication towards their culture.

Organized by Sindhi Circle and Alumina Association of JAI HIND COLLEGE, where six leading Sindhi colleges of Mumbai participated in a theme based skit and dance competition. H.R. College students performed a skit depicting the message to “Join Indian Army”. Dance theme was based on “Richness of Sindhi Culture”.

SINDHI FUSION - Consolation prizeSindhi Sangat of HR College participated in “SINDHI FUSION” an Inter-Collegiate competition organized by the SINDHI YOUTH CIRCLE whereby ten leading Sindhi colleges participated in a theme based skit and dance competition – NRITYA NATIKA.
HR College students gave a performance through which they depicted “How Sindhi’s came to India”. The performance by students won the consolation prize.
