Lonavala Staycation at Greek Villa

Yuva Tourism Juniors Club of H.R. College organized a successful staycation in Lonavala, aimed at fostering team bonding among members through engaging activities. The journey began with a bus departure from Derby Hotel, Ulhasnagar, with a scenic stop at a coastal beach for students to enjoy the view.
Upon arriving at a charming villa in Lonavala, surrounded by lush greenery, students were welcomed with refreshments and a brief orientation. They enjoyed the villa’s amenities, including a swimming pool, followed by a delightful lunch featuring diverse dishes. The evening was filled with a lively DJ party and games, creating an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie, capped off with a sumptuous dinner.
The next day started with refreshing hi-tea, followed by a visit to Tiger Point, where students marveled at breathtaking valley views and engaged in a nature walk discussing local flora and fauna. The group then explored Mapro Garden, sampling fresh fruit products like strawberry ice cream and shakes, adding an educational touch to the excursion.
The staycation concluded with a return trip home, filled with shared reflections and strengthened bonds. Special thanks to our faculty in charge, Mr. Haresh Talreja, for his unwavering support and guidance, which were instrumental in making this event a success.
Inauguration

The YTC Club was officially inaugurated on 8th August 2024, marking a significant milestone for our community. The event, attended by 80 guests, began with a welcome address at 2:30 pm, followed by the lighting of the lamp and a keynote speech by Principal Pooja Mam. Highlights included the introduction of the club's mission and vision, the unveiling of the club logo, and the launch of its website and social media platforms. Cultural performances added to the celebration before a vote of thanks concluded the ceremony. This successful inauguration fostered a sense of community, established partnerships, and showcased the club's potential, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead.

The YTC collaborated with the Inter-View Committee (IVC) to organize auditions and rehearsals, ensuring smooth execution on the event day. The event concluded successfully, with our team achieving second place overall, reflecting the effectiveness of our collaboration and the skills of the students. Yuva Tourism club junior of Hr college organized a thrilling Garba event on the 4th and 9th day of Navratri at Virat Ambe, which had turned out to be a massive success.
The enthusiasm and energy of the students had been palpable as they danced the night away, immersed in the vibrant spirit of Navratri. The air had been electric with excitement, and the sound of traditional Garba music had filled the atmosphere, drawing everyone in.
The celebrations had been a resounding success, with students, faculty, and staff all came together to create an unforgettable experience. The YTC Club's efforts in organizing the event had been commendable, and their dedication to creating a memorable experience for all had been evident throughout the celebrations.
The event had truly created a memorable history in the college, one that would be cherished for years to come. The success of the event had not only brought the college community closer but had also showcased the YTC Club's capabilities in organizing large-scale events.

Yuva tourism club of H.R. college organised the camp max staycation trip for the students and collaboration with the ivcjc team. We departed from home at 10:00 AM and arrived at Karjat Campmax at 12:00 PM. Upon arrival, we engaged in numerous activities, including lake swimming. We had lunch and later enjoyed high tea in the evening. The entertainment began with live music from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by DJ music that kept us grooving. We then embarked on a thrilling night trek from 12:00 AM to 1:30 AM. The next morning, we had breakfast and departed from the camp, heading back home. It was an action-packed and memorable day outing at Karjat Campmax."

College completed a consulting project for Idobro Impact Solutions, a for-benefit social impact organization with the mission of measuring and multiplying the socio-environmental impact of women, and social and green initiatives through markets, capacity, linkages, and solutions.
The consulting project by 180DC H.R. College aimed to provide a comprehensive solution to Idobro's Rise2Change Program Structure Problem Statement. The team thoroughly analyzed the organization's area of work and provided a comprehensive peer analysis to Idobro.
CRY- CHILD RIGHTS AND YOU

College completed a consulting project for CRY- Child Rights and You, an Indian NGO that works towards ensuring children’s rights with an impact on the lives of over 3 million children. The deliverables for this consulting project included: Developing comprehensive fundraising strategies by evaluating and integrating current and proposed approaches. Devising interactive activities for the volunteer programs to increase participation and awareness building.

180 Degrees Consulting H.R. College has drafted the university’s first case book aimed at helping students prepare for consulting interviews. The primary objective of a consulting casebook is to disseminate knowledge about consulting methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to students interested in pursuing careers in management consulting. The casebook covers key areas such as the basics of economics and accounting, consulting strategies and frameworks, case interview processes, and common mistakes and tips apart from practice case studies. It aims to facilitate skill development in problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning through the analysis of real-world business problems. By presenting cases across various industries, the casebook offers readers exposure to industry-specific challenges. Given the importance of case interviews in consulting recruitment processes, it includes detailed explanations of case interview frameworks, processes, and tips to help students prepare effectively.

By leveraging the experience and expertise of senior members, the program encouraged peer learning and knowledge sharing within the club, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

About Forest Foundation Philippines
Forest Foundation Philippines established in 2002, under two bilateral agreements between the governments of the United States of America and the Philippines, through the US Tropical Forest Conservation Act, which resulted in two Tropical Forest Conservation Agreements (TFCA1 and TFCA2). Under this, a ‘debt-for-nature’ agreement converts the Philippines’ debt into funds that are used by the Foundation for forest protection and conservation activities.
Our Approach
180 Degrees Consulting H.R. College presented the client with an innovative 4E strategy - Evolve, Explore, Encourage and Expand. The strategy was aimed at generating more grant applicants, as well as strengthen existing relationships with community partners.
CONSULTING PROJECT: GIBBON CONSERVATION SOCIETY

Problem Statement:
The Gibbon Conservation Society, Malaysia faced the problem of developing a fundraising strategy that would encompass crowdfunding and corporate partnership.
To identify and devise an optimal approach to develop corporate sponsorships while evaluating potential offerings in return.
Deliverables:
180DC H.R. College developed a custom fundraising model for the Gibbon Conservation Society (GCS) in Malaysia, addressing crowd-funding and corporate partnerships. Informed by research on peer NGOs, the model consisted of four stages - Arena, Vehicle, Supplements, and Staging. GCS received a 50-page report with the model and a calendar of upcoming events and grant deadlines to implement. 180DC H.R. College's tailored solution addressed GCS's corporate partnership challenge with an all-inclusive list of potential partners and a 6-step guide for successful partnerships.

Child Rights and You (CRY) is a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) that works towards ensuring children's rights. CRY works with project partners at the grassroots level to create sustainable change for India's children. Over 4 decades later, CRY works with 102 local NGOs across 19 states in India and has impacted the lives of over 3 million children.
Deliverables:
180 Degrees Consulting H.R. College aims to help CRY boost volunteer led fundraising, and also work on making its volunteer programmes more autonomous and sustainable.

July 1, 2021In this session, 180 DC H.R had invited Lukas C. Jochem, a Visiting Associate at BCG Dubai. He has been a part of 180 DC as a former Consulting Director at 180 DC Barcelona. Mr. Jochem conducted an insightful session that threw light on how the exposure at 180DC helps students to develop themselves and get into the world’s leading companies.

November 20 & December 17, 2021180DC held an in-house training session for our fresher to make them learn the basics of consulting and how to solve a case study with the use of 7 steps of frameworks.
The session explained these frameworks of consulting
- Define the problem.
- Break the problems into solutions.
- Prioritize issues.
- Issue analysis and work plan.
Continuing the previous session, started by explaining the remaining steps of the framework. It ended with helping them in solving case studies with the use of these frameworks

RESEARCH PAPERS
December 17, 2021Economics of war: A deep dive into the economic angle of wars. What are the economic motivations? How wars are funded? How do countries bounce back from the economic aftermath? and so much more. They also take a look at industries and companies that survived and made a turnaround despite these reckless wars!
Painting the cosmetic industry green: With the rising demand for cosmetics, there is also a parallel rise in saving the environment and protecting one’s health from harmful chemicals.
As a part of the research, they have formulated 150 responses from the public to understand the perspective of those consumers. The research has taken place mostly in the city of Mumbai and has got hopeful results.

October 17, 2020Miss Nikita Mulchandani and Mr. Roshan Haris who are the Student Advisors of the club with an extensive experience in Case studies, shared their experience alongside helping everyone to develop the right approach towards Case studies and Case competitions. They also shared their experience in representing H.R. College and India at various national and international platforms. Alumni speakers who have represented India in The HSBC Case study competition, Hong Kong - Ms. Snigdha Bansal a freelance journalist at University of Amsterdam, Mr. Vedant Lakhotia a deal advisory analyst KPMG, Ms. Prerna Nathani currently working as an investment associate in Mumbai angels’ network and Ms. Sheetal Shetty currently building her start-up with passion. They shared their experience with everyone and took everyone through their HSBC Hong Kong Case competition journey.
2. Training Session
October 20, 2020Guest speaker Mr. Arihant Jain who works at McKinsey Knowledge Centre and is a graduate of Hindu College, Delhi University started with the club's introduction in which it introduced its team members and its vision and mission. Mr. Arihant enlightened the participants with his experience at McKinsey. From a competitive point of view, how one must prepare and train for case study competitions and some tips for all the management consultants.

November 1, 2020Students got first-hand experience in solving a Case Study. The Case Study chosen for this conclave was of ‘SWIGGY’. This session helped in advancing knowledge and interest amongst the students and preparing them to represent our college and country proudly at national and international Case Study Competitions.

March 27, 2021Guest speaker Ms. Salonne works at the Boston Consulting Group and Mr. Kushal is currently working with the Aditya Birla Group in Corporate Finance Department. The session started with Overview of consulting and anecdotes of real-life cases mentors have worked on. Then case interviews and various experiences of mentors were shared. Then we discussed tools and strategies to crack different types of case interviews and also techniques to structure the case your own way and crack it. The mentors also gave suggestions of materials to develop analytical skills.

April 3, 2021Guest speaker Mr. Sooraj Mehta who works as an Associate Consultant at Cedar Management Consulting explained the various frameworks utilized. Case interviews Live engagement of a Project the mentor worked on, recommending an entry strategy for a company planning a strategic venture in India with a Dutch nutritional product. This included conducting a market assessment of WHEY protein industry in India, Analysis of global Whey protein industry and addressable opportunity in India. The mentor also discussed the challenges he faced while working on this project, key learnings from projects in the Consumer and F&B sector. Ended with Interactive Q&A with the mentor, with him giving tips to ace case interviews.

April 10, 2021Guest speaker Ms. Sharmi Sheth who works at Revolut and is the founder at Consult for Humanity, discussed how to structure our answers in a fit interview. The mentor also imparted Importance of constructive feedback. Then we moved ahead to developing the flair to work with a dynamic range of people from different backgrounds. The mentor gave advice on managing clients' expectations and keeping the communication transparent between you and the client.
